Excellent Value - Great Neighborhood

spacer My friend and I stayed here for two nights in September 2010. We both live about an hour away from Manhattan, but we enjoy regular overnight visits. This apartment is great--it's spacious and yet cozy. There's lots to do in the neighborhood, but it's also nice and quiet--there's no problem with street noise. We will definitely be back! This was a great girl's getaway, but would also work for couples or families.

An unexpected private island

spacer Thought I booked the apartment through a broker and the circumstances of our stay where stressful( ash-plume and cancelled flights from Europe and a fire in the formerly booked place)we were so pleased to stay at that apartment after all. The location was great- not only for the moning run through Central Park. The 4 of us had space and the livingroom area with the Wi-Fi access so wonderful. It was the spot to explore the city by subway- the C-Line stop on 72nd street just around the corner. And it felt so nice to return "home" to an area where all the tourists stop by to see the Dakota. We specially enjoyed the quiet street-a step away from the Lincoln Center, nice stores and european looking Cafs and restaurants. My husband and I took my parents (both over 60) and we all loved our week in New York-Upper West Side Hope there will be more trips to Big Apple like this one

Live like a native New Yorker

spacer As a former New Yorker and frequent visitor to the city, I was thrilled to find Mivar Suites. I was traveling on business and staying in this apartment instead of a hotel and I'm so glad I did. Perfect location for everything the city has to offer. Less than 1 block from central park, just a few blocks from the subway line that stops at the Time Warner center (with major shopping and the USA's largest Whole Foods), Broadway/Times Square and Penn Station. Just a few blocks to Museum of Natural History, a major Loews Multi-plex and Lincoln Center. The living room and dining area is towards the front of the building. The bedrooms are in the back of the apartment, which is great from a sound point of view (i.e. further from the street = quieter). The apartment was very clean, very well equipped (with everything from a kitchen/plates/silverware to an iron/ironing board). It's really like having your own apartment while visiting the city. A totally different and better experience than staying in a hotel. My first call for every business trip will be to Mivar with my fingers crossed that they have something available.
